    Shipping and Delivery is the charge for Internet order processing, item selection, packaging, transport and handling. Delivery times are not guaranteed, but are our best approximation and will vary with specific requests. Shipments and deliveries only occur on weekdays. Shipping and Delivery is subject to change and will be determined at the time of order.

    Estimated delivery time assumes orders are placed before 12:00 noon (PST). Orders placed late on Friday or on Saturday will not be processed until Monday. Additional charges may accrue on Priority, Overnight and International shipping if multiple attempts are made for delivery.

    Shipping addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam should add an additional $5.00 charge for standard Shipping & Delivery. Orders arrive in 7 to 9 business days when ordered before 12:00 noon (PST).

    We want you to be completely happy with your order. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly accept your timely return of unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise. Used merchandise cannot be returned unless defective. Returned merchandise should include the vendor packaging and tags and be in the same condition as when it was received. A pickup and/or restock fee may apply. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.

    GIFTS
    When returning a gift, a Madison Island Anytime Anyplace Gift Card will be issued to the gift recipient for the amount of the returned merchandise. The card can be used for purchases from any Madison Island or affiliate store, and online. In compliance with Federal law, for gifts valued at more than $2,000.00, the recipient will receive a check rather than an Anytime Anyplace Gift Card.

    RETURNING MERCHANDISE BY MAIL
    On the back of the packing slip enclosed with your order, please note the reason(s) for return and whether you wish to exchange the item(s) or receive a credit/refund (depending on the original form of payment). Enclose the return section of the packing slip with your item(s). Please use one of the return labels provided on the front of your packing slip to ensure proper return address and credit information.

    OTHER ITEMS
    All cosmetic and bath items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging for a credit/refund or exchange to be issued. Restricted items must be returned using ground transportation.

Reward Points reward-points The Reward Points Program allows you to earn points for certain actions you take on the site. Points are awarded based on making purchases and customer actions such as submitting reviews.

Benefits of Reward Points for Registered Customers

Once you register you will be able to earn and accrue reward points, which are then redeemable at time of purchase towards the cost of your order. Rewards are an added bonus to your shopping experience on the site and just one of the ways we thank you for being a loyal customer.

Earning Reward Points

Rewards can currently be earned for the following actions:

  • Making purchases — every time you make a purchase you earn points based on the price of products purchased and these points are added to your Reward Points balance.
  • Registering on the site.
  • Subscribing to a newsletter for the first time.
  • Sending Invitations — Earn points by inviting your friends to join the site.

Reward Points Exchange Rates

The value of reward points is determined by an exchange rate of both currency spent on products to points, and an exchange rate of points earned to currency for spending on future purchases.

Redeeming Reward Points

You can redeem your reward points at checkout. If you have accumulated enough points to redeem them you will have the option of using points as one of the payment methods. The option to use reward points, as well as your balance and the monetary equivalent this balance, will be shown to you in the Payment Method area of the checkout. Redeemable reward points can be used in conjunction with other payment methods such as credit cards, gift cards and more.

Reward Points Minimums and Maximums

Reward points may be capped at a minimum value required for redemption. If this option is selected you will not be able to use your reward points until you accrue a minimum number of points, at which point they will become available for redemption.

Reward points may also be capped at the maximum value of points which can be accrued. If this option is selected you will need to redeem your accrued points before you are able to earn more points.

Managing My Reward Points

You have the ability to view and manage your points through your Customer Account. From your account you will be able to view your total points (and currency equivalent), minimum needed to redeem, whether you have reached the maximum points limit and a cumulative history of points acquired, redeemed and lost. The history record will retain and display historical rates and currency for informational purposes. The history will also show you comprehensive informational messages regarding points, including expiration notifications.

Reward Points Expiration

Reward points can be set to expire. Points will expire in the order form which they were first earned.

Note: You can sign up to receive email notifications each time your balance changes when you either earn, redeem or lose points, as well as point expiration notifications. This option is found in the Reward Points section of the My Account area.

Dr. Sonia Bahtra dr-sonia-bahtra
R. Sonia Batra, MD, MSc, MPH

Dr. Batra is delighted to be practicing in her hometown. A native of Los Angeles, she ventured east for undergraduate studies at Harvard University after graduating Valedictorian of Palisades High School. At Harvard, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Batra graduated early from Harvard in three years and was selected from California as the youngest Rhodes Scholar. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Genetics at the University of Oxford, England.

Dr. Batra earned her medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School, where she was President of the Student Council. She also earned a Master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency in dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She returned to Boston for fellowship training in Dermatologic, Laser, Cosmetic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians of Chestnut Hill as well as clinical research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Prior to private practice, Dr. Batra was the Section Head of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. She remains actively involved in clinical research and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the USC Keck School of Medicine. She is also a Contributing Editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery and a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

She is grateful to be supported by a medical family – her father, mother, brother, and husband are all physicians! Her husband, Sameer, is a urologist, and they are the proud parents of two children and a Havanese dog.

Did you invent Jenu?

No. I became involved after reading about the technology and the data behind the device.

How did you become involved?

First, I met with the CEO and requested devices for myself and my office staff. After we had all tried it and were impressed, I signed on to become a medical advisor for the company.

How do you know it works?

In addition to reading the data, I have tried it on myself with my own skin care products as well as gotten feedback from my office staff and patients.

Is it safe?

What is Ultrasound Energy?

Ultrasound is physically just like sound but at a pitch that’s too high for humans to hear. All frequencies of sound are pressure waves that vibrate materials in their environment like air, water, or tissue by creating intermittent high and low pressure zones. Ultrasound has been safely used in medicine for almost 100 years, and is one of the most commonly used technologies in medicine. Ultrasound has successfully been used even longer outside of medicine in imaging, cleaning, and cosmetics.

The History of UltraSound technology

1794 – Physiologist Lazzaro Spallanzani was the first to study echolocation among bats, which forms the basis for ultrasound physics.
1877 – Brothers Pierre and Jacques Currie discover piezoelectricity. Ultrasound transducers (probes) emit and receive sound waves by way of the piezoelectric effect.
1915 – Inspired by the sinking of the Titanic, Physicist Paul Langevin was commissioned to invent a device that detected objects at the bottom of the sea. Laugevin invented a hydrophone – what theWorld Congress Ultrasound in Medical Education refers to as the “first transducer”.
1920s-1940s – Sonography was used to treat members of European soccer teams as a form of physical therapy, to appease arthritic pain and eczema and to sterilize vaccines, states Joan Baker who holds several ARDMS ultrasound certifications.
1942 – Neurologist Karl Dussik is credited with being the first to use sonography for medical diagnoses. He transmitted an ultrasound beam through the human skull in attempts of detecting brain tumors.
1949-1951 – Douglas Howry and Joseph Holmes, from the University of Colorado, were some of the leading pioneers of B-mode ultrasound equipment, including the 2D B-mode linear compound scanner. John Reid and John Wild invented a handheld B-mode device to detect breast tumors.
1953 – Physician Inge Edler and Engineer C. Hellmuth Hertz performed the first successful echocardiogram by employing an echo test control device from a Siemens shipyard.
1958 – Dr. Ian MacDonald incorporated ultrasound into the OB/GYN field of medicine.
1980s – Kazunori Baba of the University of Tokyo developed 3D ultrasound technology and captured three-dimensional images of a fetus in 1986.
1990s –the adoption of 4D (real time) capabilities. Ultrasound guided biopsies (endoscopic ultrasounds) also began in the 1990s.
2000s – Present –The iPhone now has a telesonography app and NASA has developed a virtual guidance program for non-sonographers to perform ultrasounds in space.
